Yogi Vemana Buddha Reddy
Senior sculptor, Mr. Venkatesh is from Bengaluru Rural district. He is the senior-most sculptor among everyone. Junior Sculptor named Mr. Shiva Raj from Mysore district. He is a skilled painter as well as a sculptor, and this is his fourth camp with Shilpakala academy. They sculpted the statue of Vemana in a life-size. It took around 13 days to complete.
Vemana, popularly known as Yogi Vemana, was born in Nellore. He was a great Telugu philosopher and poet. His poems were written in the Telugu language. His great success in the path of Yoga gains the title of Yogi Vemana. His poems discuss the subjects of Yoga, wisdom, and morality. His stanzas in the Telugu language were famous around the globe for their simplicity, straightforwardness, and clarity. His poems are a kind of social, moral, and mystic nature. Yogi Vemana preached equanimity among all castes, religions, and societies, etc. Being a Yogi and humanist, he gave importance to all castes and their professions without any bias.
