Introduction:
The designer duo from “Incubis”, New Delhi, Amit Gulati and Sabyasachi Paldas leave a Midas touch to a number of design projects across the Indian landscape:
• The 100 m long “Mudra” installation as one walks through Terminal 3 of the New Delhi    International Airport; or
• If one checks into any one of the ‘Ginger’ chain of economy hotels run by the house of    Tata’s; the revamped NRL energy Fuel stations dotted across the eastern regions; or
• Stops over for a cuppa of coffee at ‘Barista’- one of the retail coffee cafe chain.

Each of these experiences leave one with an impressions of something special, something different, something pragmatic. These are some of the glimpses of Indian Design at work conceived, designed and developed by the designer duo at Incubis who manage to develop novel ideas which have a lasting impression.

These innovative designers have mastered the art of blending art, architecture and design without ever being repetitive. Their portfolio boasts of projects from the domains of hospitality industry, transport sector, power industry to small scale industry.

Relying on a pragmatic approach, the Designers have drawn experiences from each of their professional projects and have broken a lot of design taboos.

After graduating from the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad, with specialization in Product Design (Faculty of Industrial Design) in the early 90’s, the duo ventured into professional consultancy services at a time when design basically hovered around emulations and importing products from abroad. This proved a challenge which the duo took as an opportunity to innovate, develop design solutions that met user expectations within the constraints of manufacturing facilities available within India.
