Bent by Design - is a Bengaluru based design studio that was set up in early 2007, by three young designers:

• Yusuf Mannan
   (A graduate Industrial Designer from NID, Ahmedabad)

• T.  Kuldeep
   (A graduate Industrial Designer from NID, Ahmedabad), and

• Hidish Salam
   (A graduate furniture designer from the Shrishti School of Art and Design, Bengaluru.)



 

A trio who came together as friends with one motivation – to set up a workshop space of their own where they could pursue their areas of passion in design and continue to dirty their hands and create furniture. An office was secondary and put down way below in the priority list of their needs; however the location of their workshop had to be perfect – An inspiring, motivating and a place they would love to meet every morning. 

The workshop they could identify, for all practical purposes, was inconveniently located. It lacked basic amenities with not even a proper approach road. But the space available was large and offered a natural setting in the middle of a mango orchard and close to a water body. This was good enough reason to set up base here and they have never looked back on their decision since then.

Design work from Bent by Design fall under three categories:

• Exhibition and Space Design
• Furniture Design and
• Design of Installations
