Making of Terracotta Idol

Below listed are some of the tools and raw materials used for Terracotta idols of Tirupati:

Knife:
It is a hand held device used for cutting into parts as per the sizes required.

Water:
It is used to make the surface sticky for joining and also makes it easier in kneading.

Clay Molds:
It is used as a reference to pattern the material to the final product.

Bamboo Tool:
It is used to shape the surface to the required portions.

Clay:
Its Collected from the nearby water sources.
