Once the wheels of Indian animation got into motion, there was a surge of ideas, studios being setup and professionals being appointed for the upcoming animation features and TV series. A few went onto to provide a platform for channelizing the Indian animation scenario. They contributed the required resources and access to information, while connecting the various points on the roadmap of animation in India. Ergo a lot of magazines and websites came into the picture.

AnimationXpress

Animationxpress (2003) a webzine became the voice of Indian animation locally and globally. Anil Wanvari started italong with its co-founder Anand Gurnani who took charge of aggregating newsletters that contained animation stories initially. Eventually he began writing and soon developed an editorial setup.

With a view to reach out to the world, the portal had also launched its Asia Pacific edition (axapac.com), which worked closely with the government agencies from Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore.

Indian Animation Industry Pavilions have been organized by Animationxpress at various festivals across the world. The Indian animation directory and show reel was presented at MIFA & ANNECY 2011 where leading studios from India and 20 delegates participated. Highlighting Indian Animation by managing various conferences and events, interviewing studios, institutes, professionals and artists in the area of Animation, VFX, Gaming and Comics, have provided AnimationXpress a capitalist outlook whilehelping understand the perspective of an artist.
