The tools that are used for carving are:

• Mallet or Hammer - It is used in hitting the chisel.
• Chisels - It is used in shaping and designing the sculpture.
• Rose wood or Rain tree - It is a basic raw wooden material used in making the sculpture.
• White cedar - It is used as a filler wooden pieces in the place where the presence of white color is required.
• Jigsaw - It is used in cutting the trunks and logs of the tree.
• Wood varnish - A lubricant used in giving the finishing look on the wooden sculpture.
• Timber coat wood finishes (sanding sealer) - It is used in filling the minute gaps in the wood.
• Wood stain (Asian paint) - Paints used on the sculpture.
• Shoe polish - It is used for the lusterless (matt) finishing of the sculpture.
• Melamine polish (Asian paints) - Polish used to protect the sculpture which is lusterless.
• Wet or dry emery paper - It is used in giving the final finishing and sanding the sculpture.
• Pad saw - It is used in giving detailing carves like wrinkle lines and skin folds.
