There are five major musical instruments used to compose tunes of Bihu Geet, namely
• Pepa
• Gogona
• Sutuli
• Dhol
• Bihu Taal
Many of these folk instruments of the region draw inspiration from nature.
For example, The instruments Gogona and Hutuli emulate the voice of a frog and kuli a bird.
