A senior sculptor Mr. Umaesh Lakshman Dandin from Bagalkot, has completed almost four camps with Shilpakala academy. Junior sculptor called Mr. Manu. S from Mysore is working as an artist for seven years. They sculpted the statue of Basavanna, which took almost 15 days to complete.

Basavanna was a Lingayat Saint in the Shiva-focused Bhakti movement. During the 12th century, he was a Hindu philosopher, statesman, Kannada poet, and social reformer during the reign of the Kalachuri dynasty king Bijjala 1 in Karnataka, India. He spread social awareness through his poetry, popularly known as Vachanaas.
