Anjuna Kaisuva Youth and Cultural Club, located in Bardez, is an NGO. The term NGO can be described as a Non-Governmental Organization. In some countries, the term NGO is applied to an organization that in another country, it is called an NPO. The term NPO can be defined as a non-profit Organization. The NGO is a non-profit organization that is independent of Governments and International Governmental Organizations. There are many Activities happening in an NGO that might include human rights, environmental, improving health,  development work. An NGO's level of operation indicates the scale at which an organization works, such as local, regional, national, or international. NGO's include state-level organizations, associations, and groups.

Some state NGOs also work under the guidance of National and International NGOs. Generally, NGOs act as implementers, catalysts, and partners. Firstly, NGOs act as implementers in that they mobilize resources in order to provide goods and services to people who are suffering due to a human-made disaster or a natural disaster. Secondly, NGOs act as catalysts in that they drive change. They have the ability to inspire, facilitate or contribute to improved thinking and action to promote change. Lastly, NGOs often act as partners with other organizations in order to tackle problems and address human needs more effectively. NGOs vary in their methods. Some act primarily as lobbyists, while others primarily conduct programs and activities. Foundations and charities use sophisticated public relations campaigns to raise funds and employ standard lobbying techniques with governments.

A code of ethics was established in 2002 by The World Association of Non-Governmental Organizations. Donations usually fund these NGOs, but some avoid formal funding altogether and are run primarily by volunteers. Individual private donors comprise a significant portion of NGO funding. Many NGOs rely on a large number of small donations. Certain NGOs rely heavily on government funding in order to function. Some governmental NGO funding may be viewed as controversial because the funding may support certain political goals rather than a Nation's Development Goals. Each NGO is registered at Government registering authorities, but it is managed, operated, and worked by its members and associated persons under and as per the rules, regulations, and laws of the Government of that country but independently from government control. NGO is not a part and directly controlled and monitored by Government but works according to the Government's policies, more specifically for the development and welfare of society, areas, and communities.
