In Hindu culture Sindoora comes in a woman’s life on her wedding day. On the wedding, groom bring it with full of sindoor (Red) and put the sindoor from it, along the parting of hair of her bride to get marry with her. From that day to till the end, a woman keeps it with her. Sindoora is the symbol of love, care and Suhaag for a women.

There is a huge variety in design and size of Sindoora. Large and broad one is famous and traditional structure in Patna/ Bihar (see top first image). Earlier Sindoora used to be simple, now they have started decorating them. Box Sindoora, Locker Sindoora, Sugga (parrot) Sindoora and temple shape are the some example of Sindoora.
