Going to a flower market.
Picking up best flowers, suitable for color making process.
Separating petals from the remaining part of flower.
Petals are separated out.
Washing the petals to remove dirt etc.
After washing, keep flower petals for drying purpose.
Keeping petals away from sunlight for some time, and then again exposing it to light.
Petals are ready, and completely dried. In hard form now.
Petals are ready to be churned.
Using a grinder, put the petals inside the jar.
Grinder turns the petals into powdered form.
Final color is just now ready to use.

Natural colors are made using natural elements, such as plants, flowers etc. Dried colors may be used for playing holi (colorful festival of India). Such color can easily be made at home, with a minimum number of apparatus. You just need some fresh flowers from market, separate the petals from other things, give them a proper wash, sun dry them. Use a home mixer/grinder to turn dried petals into powder form. It doesn’t affect skin, can be removed easily from body and retains the natural scent of the flower.
